10-year-old hospitalized in Sacramento with rare illness tied to COVID-19

Just two weeks ago, Maeson Howard was a healthy 10-year old in South Lake Tahoe. One week ago, he was admitted to UC Davis Children’s Hospital with symptoms that lead doctors to believe he could have Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome, or MIS-C. It’s a new and rare illness with an unknown cause, the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention said. However, officials said many children with MIS-C had the virus that causes COVID-19 or were exposed to someone with COVID-19. Get the full story in the video above.
