Nine of southwest Ohio's 12 school issues failed in November, leaving educators with no choice but to make cuts and hope for the best when voters go back to the polls Tuesday.

Several of the school issues are repeat measures, with adjusted millage points, from November's election. Forest Hills School District, Carlisle Local Schools and Edgewood City Schools are new to the list.

Blanchester Local School District: Proposed tax levy and income tax

Blanchester Local School District has a 5.2 mill levy on the ballot for permanent improvement purposes. This would cost a homeowner $182 per year on a $100,000 home, for five years, according to the county auditor.

The school district also has a five-year, 1% earned income tax proposal on the ballot to cover current expenses.

The district serves students in Warren, Brown, Clermont and Clinton counties.

Carlisle Local School District: Proposed tax levy

Carlisle Local School District has a five-year, 4.41 mill tax levy on the ballot. This would cost a homeowner $154 per year on a $100,000 home, according to the county auditor.

The district is hoping to avoid an operating deficit with this renewal of an existing levy.

The district serves students in Warren County.

Edgewood City School District: Proposed income tax

Edgewood City Schools has a 1% income tax on the ballot for current expenses.

The district serves students in Butler County.

Forest Hills Local School District: Proposed tax levy

Forest Hills Local School District has a 6.9 mill tax levy on the ballot for general and permanent improvement purposes.

The continuing levy is comprised of 5.4 mills for current operating expenses and 1.5 mills for general permanent improvements. It would cost a homeowner just over $20 per month on a $100,000 home, according to the district.

This district serves students in Hamilton and Clermont counties.

Franklin City School District: Proposed tax levy

Franklin City School District has a five-year, 13.92 mill levy on the ballot. This would cost a homeowner $488 per year on a $100,000 home, according to the county auditor.

This is a substitute for an existing levy to provide necessary funds for the district's schools.

The district serves students in Warren County.

Loveland City School District: Proposed tax levy

Loveland City School District has 4.9 mill, continuing tax levy on the ballot for current operating expenses. This would cost a homeowner $172 per year on a $100,000 home, according to the Warren County auditor.

The district serves students in Warren, Clermont and Hamilton counties.

Northwest Local School District: Proposed bond issue

Northwest Local School District has a 38-year, 4.98 mill bond issue on the ballot for school construction and facilities projects. This would cost a homeowner $174 annually on a $100,000 home, according to the district.

The district serves students in Hamilton and Butler counties.

Ross Local School District: Proposed tax levy

Ross Local School District has a five-year, 9.44 mill tax levy on the ballot to avoid deficit spending.

The district serves students in Butler County.

Winton Woods City School District: Proposed tax levy

Winton Woods City School District has a five-year, 6.21 mill emergency tax levy on the ballot.

The district serves students in Hamilton County.

Xenia Community City School District: Proposed income tax

Xenia Community City School District has a seven-year, 0.5% income tax proposal on the ballot. This is a renewal of a previous income tax that expires at the end of 2023.

The ballot measure failed "by just a single vote" in November, according to the district.
