Buddy Guy: The 86-year-old Chicago blues icon Buddy Guy is hanging up the touring life, currently on a final farewell jaunt behind his 2022 studio album “The Blues Don’t Lie.” He’s playing this weekend in Joliet; the road next takes the Grammy Award winner across the country and to points such as to Australia in April, Paris in July. 8 p.m. Feb. 18-19 at the Rialto Square Theatre, 102 N. Spring Flower Show: Bee’s Knees: Garfield Park Conservatory’s spring show focuses on the relationship between flowers and bees. “The Mountaintop”: This play by Katori Hall (who also wrote “Tina — the Tina Turner Musical” coming to Chicago for the first time in March) reimagines the events of April 3, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee. As a storm rages outside, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. receives a mysterious visitor to his room at the Lorraine Motel, the night before his assassination. “Salvador Dalí: The Image Disappears”: There’s a new exhibit at the Art Institute about surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, focusing on his work in the 1930s through an installation of some 50 paintings, sculptures, drawings and collages. Chicago International Salsa Congress: This is the 22nd edition of this Afro-Latin music and dance convention.
