10 things to do around Chicago: Pride Parade, a CSO concert and music fests everywhere
This is a weekend for music festivals, to be sure. The calendar officially rolled over into summer earlier this week and music will be playing on outdoor stages all over town. Plus Chicago Pride Parade is Sunday.
Chicago Pride Parade
The 52nd annual parade steps off at noon on Sunday from Montrose and Broadway in the Uptown neighborhood. With marching bands, presenters and more than 150 floats this year, the parade will last about two and a half hours and concludes at Diversey Parkway and Cannon Drive. Don’t miss the unofficial finale to Pride Month in June.

Logan Square Arts Festival
This three-day event will feature 30 bands across two stages, including Free Range, Greg Freeman and Elizabeth Moen. The festival will also host 70 local artists, makers and artisanal vendors selling items, as well as art installations, activities and live art presentations.

Re:SET Chicago
Headliners for this three-day concert series include Steve Lacy, boygenius and LCD Soundsystem, playing on a single stage in Riis Park on the Northwest Side. Summer Smash
This three-day festival of hip hop music is relocating this year to SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview. Concerts will play on two stages outside the stadium and one stage inside. Headliners include Kid Cudi (Friday), Future (on Saturday) and Playboi Carti (Sunday). Food vendors include Kasama, Harold’s Chicken and Portillo’s.

Pride in the Park Festival
Timed alongside the Pride Parade, this annual outdoor music event features LGBTQ+ performers, artists and vendors. Headliners include DJ Zedd, rap star Saweetie, DJ Years & Years and Swedish singer-songwriter Zara Larson.

‘Muti Conducts Beethoven’
This weekend, Riccardo Muti, longtime music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, conducts Beethoven’s “Missa solemnis” in his final concerts at Symphony Center as music director.

Chicago House Music Festival
This fest, which celebrates a genre that began in Chicago, is presented in conjunction with the Taste of Chicago Humboldt Park. Performers include DJ Psycho-B and Queen! For A Day. Taste vendors include African Food Palace, Chicago’s Doghouse and Tacotlan.

‘Joffrey for All Celebration’
A first-of-its-kind, free performance by dancers from the Joffrey Ballet, as well as the Joffrey Academy of Dance and students from the Joffrey community engagement programs. The company also is celebrating president and CEO Greg Cameron on his 10th anniversary.
