Sunday T-Dance

Sunday marks the end of the weekend, but it doesn't mean the party is over. You can dance to the sounds of disco and other genres at Oscar’s Downtown Palm Springs every Sunday. The weekly event aims to uphold the long-standing tradition of the tea dance, which became seminal to gay culture upon its founding in the 1950s in New York.

Sunday Soiree

The South Palm Canyon Art Collective is a group of artists who took residency at the former Muse Creative Center, which they turned into a studio. Every month, they host an open studio to invite the public to their space. Each month will also have guest artists displaying their work, so expect to see a variety of art to admire.

Palm Desert Certified Farmers Market

Eating clean and healthy is a goal for many people, and going to a farmers market is a fun way to shop for organic goods. At the Palm Desert Famers Market, you can find fresh produce from Coachella Valley certified farmers. The market is open every Sunday, rain or shine, and you can find it next to the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce.

Journey at Acrisure Arena

I have good news for you if you are still "holding on to that feeling." Journey is taking the stage at Acrisure Arena this Tuesday. The band is known for hit songs "Don’t Stop Believin'" and "Any Way You Want It," the former of which has been covered numerous times and introduced to new audiences through its inclusion in pop culture hits such as the TV show "Glee."

Movies in the Park: 'Barefoot in the Park'

The Palm Springs Cultural Center is hosting its second season of this free outdoor movie series featuring classic films and musicals. On Wednesday, there will be a screening of "Barefoot in the Park," which stars Jane Fonda and Robert Redford. It is a classic movie based on a play by Neil Simon. If you want to skip the hassle of coming early to find a place to picnic, you can reserve a spot online through Eventbrite.

Parlour Queens

Parlour is a cocktail lounge and game room that hosts a drag show every Wednesday. It is located at the Desert Island Country Club and offers quirky drinks, quick bites and dessert. The weekly event is free, but if you want to save money on beverages, there is a happy hour from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Matt Marcy Magic Show

Matt Marcy combines magic and storytelling and will be performing for three nights at Marvyn's Magic Theater this week. Marcy has performed at the Hollywood Magic Castle, showrooms in Las Vegas and in theaters across the world. He has also appeared on the TV shows "Masters of Illusion" and "Penn & Teller: Fool Us."

Steel Panther

This Los Angeles-based band pays tribute to the glam rock and hair metal era of music. They tout themselves as a party band who have a stage presence filled with exaggerated debauchery and are known for their lewd songs. They have toured across the world and have been featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

City of La Quinta Birthday Celebration

The City of La Quinta is celebrating its 41st birthday with a picnic at the park. There will be plenty of entertainment and family friendly activities. Snacks and refreshments will also be available for everyone to enjoy. This event would be a great way to spend a day with family or friends.
