Andy Gross, a nationally touring magician, illusionist and ventriloquist, will perform at 8 p.m. Friday at Krackpots Comedy Club in Massillon.

Gross, also known as the "Split Man," has been featured on The Ellen Show, CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX and MTV. Gross’ performances have featured throwing his voice, reading minds, levitating an audience member, splitting himself in two and turning an audience member into a human puppet.

Gross' magic act also has attracted millions of views online.

2. Punk Rock Flea Market in Tallmadge

Vintage clothing, vinyl records, crafts, local comic books and other cool stuff will be available at the Punk Rock Flea Market on Saturday at the Summit County Fairgrounds Arena Complex Building, 1050 North Ave. in Tallmadge.

The event is noon to 6 p.m. Parking costs $2 per car, but admission is free; the event is open to all ages. Food trucks, alcoholic beverages and concessions will be available.

More than 100 alternative artists, vendors, crafters and independent businesses from both inside and outside Ohio are expected. Items for sale will include original art, graphic apparel, oddities, taxidermy, baked goods, vegan treats, macabre creations, handmade jewelry, local graphic novels, toys, dolls and collectibles, event organizers said on social media.

3. Vox Audio performing 'Decades' show

Vox Audio will be singing classic and mainstream hit songs on Saturday as part of a "Decades" performance at GlenOak High School, 1801 Schneider St. NE in Plain Township.

Performances are 3 and 7 p.m. at GlenOak's Performing Arts Center.

Reserved tickets, $20 for adults and $12 for students, can be purchased at https://www.singstark.org/ and by calling the box office at 330-452-4098.

Part of Sing Stark, Vox Audio will sing a cappella style, including doo-wop from the ‘50s, classic rock songs from the ‘70s, hair metal hits from the '80s and modern Billboard hits, Vox Audio announced in a news release.

Live music will be featured 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Roxy Theater, 114 N. Market St. in downtown Minerva.

Performances at the first Roxy Music Festival will include TFree & the Panic Attacks, with guests Devin Bezeredi, Louie Pilati and Randy Neff, as well as Eric Brooke’s Michael Stanley Tribute, Josee McGee, Dick Rutledge and others.

Minerva's Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area will be in effect 5 to10 p.m. Patrons may purchase beverages in official DORA cups from the Normandy Inn, Stoney Inn, Que Pasa Mexican Restaurant and Sandy Springs Brewing Co. and carry them into the Roxy.

The event is a reopening celebration for the Roxy, which is being renovated. Admission is free and donations are accepted for the theater, which is owned by the Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce.

6. Faculty music showcase at Mount Union

The University of Mount Union is presenting a Faculty Artist Showcase at 3 p.m. Sunday in Presser Recital Hall at Cope Music Hall.

Free and open to the public, the performance will feature professor of music Maira Liliestedt, piano; music lecturer Amanda Medley, soprano; professor emeritus James Perone, clarinet; music lecturer Julie Sarver, piccolo; music lecturer Bohdan Subchak, violin; and music lecturer Raquel Teare, piano.

Cope Music Hall is at the Giese Center for the Performing Arts, 67 W. Simpson St. in Alliance.

7. Indie rocker Joe P performing at Musica in Akron

Joe P, a New Jersey-based indie rock musician who became popular on TikTok during the pandemic, will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday at Musica, 51 E. Market St. in downtown Akron.

This marks Joe P's return to the Akron area. Last fall, he performed an acoustic set at Erie St Vinyl in Massillon.

The murder mystery tale is based on the classic Hasbro board game and its characters, as well as the 1985 film.

11. Stark County Catholic schools present 'Cinderella'

Central Catholic and St. Thomas Aquinas high schools are presenting 'Cinderella' Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Canton Palace Theatre.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Students will be performing the Broadway adaptation of the classic musical, featuring a score by Rodgers and Hammerstein.
