Friday

Lunch on the Lawn

11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Old Courthouse, 201 NW Fourth St. in Evansville. Free.

Enjoy warm weather and food trucks while overlooking the architecture of the iconic Old Courthouse.

Civic Theatre: 'Big Fish'

Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m., Evansville Civic Theatre, 717 N. Fulton Ave. Tickets are $15.

This musical tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who knows the true meaning of living life to the fullest, and always has the best stories that everyone listens to even his wife. As his son, Will is about to have his own child, he makes it his mission to find the truth behind his father's tales.

Saturday

Franklin Street Bazaar

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. along West Franklin Street in Evansville. Free.

Every Saturday on the lawn of the West Branch Library, hundreds of vendors from local farmers and producers to bakers to artists and craftsmen have pop-up shops for visitors to discover local products.

The Evansville Antiques Show

Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Vanderburgh County 4-H Center, 201 E. Boonville-New Harmony Road. Entry is $4 but free for children 8 and under.

This large antique show will feature the works of prominent dealers and experts from all over the Tri-State. Friday is an early bird preview show for $15 that allows visitors to see everything before the big crowd comes and is good all weekend for the show.

Evansville Farmers Market

10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Washington Square Mall in Evansville. Free.

Shop from local vendors, and food trucks and join in this Military Appreciation Farmer's Market.

Eat the Invasives: Garlic Mustard Workshop

Noon to 2 p.m., Angel Mounds Historic Site, 8215 Pollack Ave. Tickets are $12 per person 15 and up.

Attendees have the ability to discover wild edible plants by harvesting the invasive but delicious garlic mustard plant to be made into pesto and pizza.

PBR Challenger Series

7 p.m., Ford Center, 1 SE Martin Luther King Blvd. Tickets range from $15 to $30.

The PBR Challenger Series is returning to Evansville for its first Challenger Series event of the year.

Sunday

Historic Newburgh Inc. Strawberry Social

Noon to 4 p.m., on the road between Old Lock and Dam and Allen Family Amphitheater. Free admission but there is a fee for rides.

This family-friendly event features strawberry shortcakes from the Old Lock and Dam, live entertainment at the amphitheater, rides, games and activities for kids. On the west side of Old Lock and Dam, there will be a craft market and food booths. Half-pot and raffle tickets will be sold.

Evansville Food Truck Festival

1 to 8 p.m., Bosse Field, 23 Don Mattingly Way. Tickets range from $8 to $41.

Indulge in the area's top 35 food trucks and try everything from seafood to desserts. Other parts of the festival include music, a mechanical bull-riding competition, a hot dog-eating competition, hot air balloon rides, art, and a kid's zone for the smallest attendees. Every truck and booth will offer a $4 food sampling feature.

Monday

Evansville Memorial Day Walk/Run

8 a.m., Garvin Park, 1600 N Main St. Signup fees range from $5 to $35.

The Annual Memorial Day Run, which is a 5K/10K that commemorates fallen heroes, is happening in Garvin Park and is open to the public.
