Jun. 30—1 Game On! — 4 p.m. Friday, CenterPlace West Lawn Plaza, 2426 N Discovery Place, Spokane Valley. The city of Spokane Valley kicks off national Parks and Recreation month with Game On! The free event will feature live music, market offerings and a "build a park" activity, among other activities. A retelling of the children's story "Ferdinand the Bull," this lighthearted opera is set to the music of Georges Bizet's masterpiece "Carmen."
