The real gift moms want on Mother's Day is for you to make plans so she doesn't have to! Brunch is the perfect solution — a whole morning/afternoon devoted to good food, good drinks and your company (though dinner works too). The following is a sampling of Westchester spots serving everything from prix fixed meals to complimentary mimosas. In some cases, you can add on a spa treatment. Apropos Restaurant at The Abbey Inn, Peekskill

A special $70 per person Mother's Day menu is served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. featuring Arugula and Strawberry Salad, Dill Gravlax, Fried Chicken and Waffles, Seared Bronzino and New York Steak and Eggs. There's also a spa here should you want to treat Mom to a facial or massage before or after her meal. The Hydrafacial is something new mom might like; body scrubs are set to debut later this spring. Mother’s Day brunch runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features Chiri’s fluffy pancakes, steak and eggs, avocado toast, gouda burger with egg, butternut squash parmigiana, and more. Add a bottomless Bloody Mary, a seasonal mimosa, or sangria to any large plate for $25 per person. The newly opened Red Horse by David Burke has a $52, two-course menu for mom with the restaurant's famous Clothesline Bacon in addition to crispy shrimp spring rolls, a "Very Berry Dutch Baby Pancake," lobster and caviar ostrich scramble, Branzino and a cheeseburger. The restaurant is located in the Opus Hotel and there are also spa treatments available. The Tasty Table doesn't usually take reservations for brunch, but for Mother's Day you can (and should) book either at 9 a.m.,10:30 a.m., 12 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. Diners can expect a special menu with items like avocado toast with burrata, spiced and spiked French Toast and breakfast fried rice. If weather permits, there will also be outdoor seating.
