Up to $11,600 a month in San Joaquin County? California job fair seeks health care workers

The University of the Pacific is hosting a hiring event for California Correctional Health Care Services Tuesday, Aug. 1 through Thursday, Aug. 3.

The event, held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the university’s DeRosa Center Ballroom in Stockton, will allow attendees to speak to recruiters, apply and interview for jobs.

State jobs are known for offering competitive benefits and enrollment in the nation’s largest state public pension plan.

Positions you can apply for at the Stockton hiring event

California Correctional Health Care Services is hiring for positions at California Health Care Facility in Stockton, Mule Creek State Prison in Ione and Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown.

More than 450 candidates have been hired on the spot during these hiring events, according to the department’s website.

The fields and programs the department has openings in include nursing, mental health, administration, IT and allied health.

The department is accepting applications for the following positions in San Joaquin County, and additional information is linked:

Full-time positions have a pay range from $2,880 per month for office technicians to $11,651 per month for psychologists.

How to prepare before the event

Admission and parking to the event is free. The closest parking lots to the DeRosa Center Ballroom are lots six and seven.
