Port City Club Boat Show

Cost: Free

Kick off the weekend at Port City Club’s boat show on Lake Norman. Thursday through Saturday, the Ed Watkins Marine team will showcase its lineup of boats at the docks.

Live under the Oaks

Location: Birkdale Village Plaza, 8712 Lindholm Dr #202, Huntersville, NC 28078

Time: 6-8 p.m.

Cost: Free

Enjoy live music at Birkdale Village’s Live Under the Oaks event. Bring a lawn chair and jam out to rock artist Jordan Minor Duo at the Plaza.

Davidson Earth Day Festival

Location: The Davidson Green, 119 S Main St, Davidson, NC 28036

Time: 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Cost: Free

Celebrate Earth Day at Davidson’s annual family-friendly festival. There will be science series, food, games, activities, music and more.

Huntersville Jazz Concert Series

Location: Veterans Park, 201 Huntersville-Concord Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078

Time: 4-8 p.m.

Cost: Free

Enjoy an evening of jazz at Veterans Park. The two-day concert series kicks off on Saturday with several artists and local food and drink vendors.

Sunday, April 23

Goat yoga

Location: Lost Worlds Brewing Company, 19700-D One Norman Blvd, Cornelius, NC 28031

Time: 6-7 p.m.

Cost: $27

Stretch out in a yoga class with baby goats from Lazy Day Farm. The beginner’s class is open to all ages and experience levels. Just pack a mat or towel to flow on. Tickets can be bought online.

Sign up for the Lake Norman half marathon

Location: Lake Norman Yacht Club, 297 Yacht Rd, Mooresville, NC 28117

Time: 7 a.m.-12 p.m.

Cost: $50-$80

Plan ahead and sign up for the Lake Norman half marathon on May 14. See the lake views while running on one of the fastest courses in the Charlotte area. Afterward, runners can enjoy live music and beer. There’s a virtual race, too. You can sign up for both races online. Registration fees for the main event increase after April 24.

Treat yourself to dinner at Hot Mess

Location: 416 S. Main St., Davidson, NC 28036

Start off your week with dinner at the newest restaurant in Lake Norman, Hot Mess, formerly known as Davidson Ice House. There are burgers, bowls and lobster rolls and more on the menu.

Tuesday, April 25

Explore Davidson’s greenways

Location: Multiple

Time: Sunrise-sundown

Cost: Free

Whether you want to bike, hike or run, there are several greenways to explore in Davidson. The town has more than six miles of trails and greenways, many leading directly to the downtown area. You can find more information about the trails here.

Davidson College performance

The North Carolina Baroque Orchestra is joining the Chorale, Chamber Singers and Choral Arts Society Davidson to perform Bach’s Magnificat in D Major. The show is free and open to the public.

Thursday, April 27

Paint your pet

Get artsy and paint a portrait of your furry friend at Primal Brewery’s pet painting workshop. Once you reserve your spot online, all you have to do is send in your favorite photo you’d like to recreate.

Go on a ghost tour

Learn about Davidson’s history, legend and ghosts during a 90-minute walking tour. Start at the town green walk around town hearing about new and old tales rooted in the area. Tickets can be purchased online.
