111 Deaths Now Attributed To Texas' Winter Storms In February

The majority of verified deaths were associated with hypothermia, DSHS said Thursday.

- The number of Texans who died from last month's winter storms has grown to more than 100. The Department of State Health Services told us today that 111 Texans in all now died because of hypothermia, carbon monoxide poisoning, traffic accidents, falls, fire, and some other reasons as well. The agency said the numbers are expected to grow as state epidemiologists continue looking into the causes of deaths that occurred in that time span.
