The Canada Border Services Agency and Royal Canadian Mounted Police seized more than 114 pounds of cocaine at the Blue Water Bridge on Dec. 4.

A news release Wednesday stated the drugs were found after law enforcement performed a second examination on a commercial truck entering Point Edward, Ontario from Port Huron.

"This is another example of the tremendous work being done by our agencies to keep illegal drugs from reaching the streets in our communities,” Rae Bolsterli, officer in charge of the RCMP Border Integrity Program, said in the news release.

The driver, 27-year-old Manpreet Singh from Brampton, Ontario, was arrested and charged with importation of cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
