The 11th annual Mardi Gras parade coming to Dothan

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The City of Dothan will celebrate Mardi Gras with its 11th annual Mardi Gras Krew of Kolosse parade downtown.

The parade will be on Saturday, February 10th, at 3 p.m. and last through the evening.

With entertainment zones throughout the parade route, the fun will be never-ending. Some competitions include how far you can underhand toss a pound of sausage, a Mister and Miss best dressed Mardi Gras, and a King Cake eating contest.

With all the events taking place, food trucks will also be available for those just looking to eat something different. Food vendors will be at each entertainment zone.

Clay Dempsey, who has been helping plan this big parade, says “Outside the city is kind of the family zone. Inside the city is the party zone”.
