12 families featured in the 25th Season for Caring program. Here's how you can help.

For years, the Season for Caring families have been at the bedsides of family members they loved. They've picked up the pieces and moved to a new place. They opened up their homes to care for others. They have weathered the tide of economic downturns and personal struggles.

Now they need your help.

The American-Statesman invites you to read the stories of the 12 featured families in the 25th Season for Caring program. Hear their words in the videos with their stories at statesman.com/seasonforcaring. See the joy and sorrow in their faces in the photos.

Then reach out. Each day through Jan. 1, the Statesman will run a new story and an ad with an in-print coupon to mail in your donation or use the link with each story online to the donation form. All your monetary donations will be matched by the Sheth family through Christmas.

Read the families' wish lists and give an item or a service such as home repairs or house cleaning. Click on their Amazon, Target or Walmart gift registry and send an item.

You will be helping not just the 12 featured families but also hundreds like them through the Statesman's trusted nonprofit partner organizations.

Together, we lift up our community. Together, we make this a Season for Caring.
