Is the $12 McDonald’s dinner box worth your money?

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — In recent weeks, viral videos of people getting fast food have left many outraged.

The spikes in fast food prices now lead many to view a trip through the drive-thru as a luxury. Earlier this month, Five Guys was criticized for its menu prices after a receipt totaling $24 for one person went viral.

But a recent video posted on TikTok shows a new McDonald’s hack that may provide families with a budget-friendly meal on the go.

The $12 McDonald’s dinner box has circulated, given the enormous portions of food for an affordable price.

According to the video creator, @xolovelei, the box contains two Big Macs, two cheeseburgers, four small fries, and a 10-piece chicken nugget.

The woman is seen asking the fast-food giant if they offer a dinner box, something not on their menu, and the restaurant surprisingly says yes.

In a snapshot of the woman’s order receipt, the total came out to $12.19 before tax.

The viral video has racked up over half a million likes, with many users giving their two cents about the price.

“This dinner box is $22 here in Ohio idk where it’s $12???,” one user wrote.

Others offered helpful hacks, stating that the McDonald’s app has a “Shareables” tab with different bundle options.

In Texas, a user said the company offers a $20 “NFL Bundle,” which includes four cheeseburgers, four Hot n’ Spicy burgers, a 20-piece chicken nugget, and two large fries.

However, a Canadian user said that $12 wouldn’t even get them a Big Mac meal in Canada.
