12-year-old girl, 14-year-old boy found with loaded gun at Queens school

A 12-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy were taken into police custody when they were found to be in possession of a loaded gun at a Queens school Thursday, law enforcement sources said.

The gun was found at P.S. 105 on Beach 51st St. near Elizabeth Ave. in Edgemere around 10:20 a.m., sources said.

A teacher at the K-8 school notified school safety agents who searched students.

The agents initially found nothing, but administrators following up discovered the fully loaded .22-caliber automatic weapon in the girl’s backpack, sources said.

The girl insisted the boy had given it to her.

NYPD officers from the 100th precinct took the kids into custody where charges were pending.
