12 restaurants in South Jersey to have Thanksgiving dinner in 2023

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and it’s never too early to start making plans.

Will you cook at home, go to a “Friendsgiving” or family gathering, order food or go to a restaurant for a sit-down dinner?

If it’s the latter, it’s time to get those reservations in.

There are plenty of options for a sit-down Thanksgiving meal at a South Jersey restaurant. From Cherry Hill down to Atlantic City, Ocean City or Cape May, there are quite a few restaurants serving a special Thanksgiving Day menu and many still have their regular dinner menu available as well.

Here are 12 South Jersey restaurants serving a sit-down meal for Thanksgiving. For many, takeout is also available.

Adelphia, Deptford

The restaurant is serving a family-style turkey dinner on the holiday

Reservations are on the hour only starting at 11 a.m. with a minimum of four people.

The family style meal includes soup and salad, chestnut stuffing, Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce. Assorted flavors of pie will be available for dessert by the slice.

Adults $46.95. Children 10 and under $21.95.

There is also a Thanksgiving dinner buffet with many of the same offerings, in addition to a carving station with turkey, beef and more.

There will be one seating at 2:30 p.m. for the buffet.

The cost is $65 for adults and $30 for children 10 and under.

Braddock’s Tavern, Medford

Thanksgiving family dinner will be served in the Colonial ballroom from noon until 4 p.m. on Nov. 23.

Small plates served tableside include butternut squash bisque shooters, cheesy everything monkey bread, spinach and artichoke gratin, deviled duck egg.

Big plates served at stations include hand carved roasted turkey with pan gravy, Virginia ham, panko crusted Alaskan halibut, winter salad, brioche stuffing, Yukon gold smashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, brown sugar glazed carrots, green bean casserole, macaroni and cheese and Hasselback sweet potato.

The dessert table includes pies, cakes, cookies and coffee and tea.

Adults are $75 plus per person and children under 12 are $35 per person.

There is also a Thanksgiving ala carte menu and a Thanksgiving to-go menu.

Carlucci’s Waterfront Grill, Mount Laurel

The Centerton Road establishment is offering a special Thanksgiving Day traditional turkey dinner.

That includes sliced roast turkey breast with, gravy, stuffing and cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, and coleslaw.

Pumpkin pie for dessert.

Carmine’s, Atlantic City

Carmine’s is offering pick-up, delivery and dine in on its Thanksgiving special this year.

The special features an 18-pound roast turkey, with sausage and sage stuffing. Sides include Brussels sprouts with caramelized onions and Applewood smoked bacon, sauteed string beans with julienned red peppers and toasted hazelnuts, baby carrots with fresh dill, sweet potatoes topped with marshmallows and maple syrup, and mashed potatoes with giblet gravy. The meal serves six to eight people and costs $295.

Apple or pumpkin pie can be added on for $24.99.

Reservations are available now, and pre-orders for take-out and delivery will begin on November 19 at carminesnyc.com.

The Capital Grille, Cherry Hill

There will be a special Thanksgiving menu on Nov. 23.

Slow-roasted turkey with brioche stuffing, French green beans, cranberry-pear chutney, Sam’s mashed potatoes, pecan-crusted mashed sweet potatoes with hot honey. Pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.

The cost is $50 for adults and $20 for children.

Sweet potatoes and dessert are not included in the price.

Creekside Inn, Woodstown

A Thanksgiving Day buffet is being offered from 12 to 5 p.m. on the holiday.

There will be limited seating and reservations are required.

The buffet will include: corn chowder, garden salad, spinach salad, shrimp, turkey and gravy, stuffing, mash potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, ham with honey Dijon sauce, crab cakes, penne alla vodka, peas and carrots, chicken fingers, cranberry sauce.

Desserts will include: pumpkin pie, cheesecake, fruit salad, assorted cakes and cookies.

The cost is $45 for adults and $23 for children 12 and under.

The Flanders Hotel, Ocean City

From noon to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, the historic hotel is taking reservations on the half-hour for its Thanksgiving buffet.

The buffet includes: appetizers such as shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, pear and goat cheese salad, New England clam chowder, spiced butternut squash. A carving station will offer roasted Carolina turkey, roasted sirloin of beef and honey glazed ham. Hot entrée offerings include: seared breast of chicken, seared salmon, green bean casserole, roasted carrots and parsnips, traditional stuffing, creamy homestyle mashed potatoes, Hawaiian sweet potatoes, pumpkin ravioli.

A dessert station includes: deep dish apple pie, pumpkin pie, French pastries, pumpkin cheesecake and assorted cookies and brownies.

The cost is $49.95 for adults, $26.95 for children ages 3 to 8.

Flemings Steakhouse, Marlton

A three-course Thanksgiving menu is available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Starter choice of Fleming’s salad, which includes walnuts, tomatoes, dried cranberries, red onion, lemon balsamic vinaigrette as well as a lobster bisque with spiced sherry cream.

Entrée choice of mixed-herb roasted turkey breast and turkey gravy ($56), with dark meat or a combination available upon request.

Petite filet mignon 8 ounces ($71) with peppercorn sauce. Upgrade to main filet for $6. Prime bone-in ribeye, 20 ounces, ($86) with peppercorn sauce. Served with house made stuffing.

Sides to share include mashed potatoes, green beans with apricots and onions, cinnamon orange cranberry sauce.

Cheesecake and carrot cake are dessert offerings.

Prospectors, Mount Laurel

A Thanksgiving buffet will be held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

It will include fresh carved beef brisket and turkey, Hawaiian ham, stuffing and gravy, baked macaroni and cheese, collard greens, green beans, mashed potatoes, cranberries, Spanish yellow corn, fresh bread, salad bar and desserts.

The cost $35.99 and $15.99 for kids 10 and under. Beverages are not included.

Their special Thanksgiving menu has plenty of offerings.

All dinners are served with a choice of house or Caesar salad and a dessert.

Parties of four or more will get a whole carved turkey and all the sides served family style.

The cost is $46.95 for adults and $22.95 for children.

Apple cranberry stuffing, glazed sweet potatoes, mashed turnips, candied carrots, grilled asparagus, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes are the offerings.

Ala carte entrees include grilled ham steak, grilled salmon and an filet mignon.

A children’s menu for $22.95 includes turkey dinner, ham steak, penne pasta or chicken tenders and fries.

Dessert includes a slice of pumpkin or apple pie.

Seasons 52, Cherry Hill

A traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be served on the holiday.

Roasted turkey, pan gravy, Yukon mashed potatoes, brioche and sage stuffing, green beans, mashed butternut squash, cranberry relish and pumpkin pie mini-indulgence.

You can also get Thanksgiving-to-go, which serves four to six, for $225.

The price is $40 for adults and $18 for children.

Villari’s Lakeside, Sicklerville

The family style turkey feast (minimum of eight people) includes a whole roasted turkey carved table-side, served with sweet and mashed potatoes, homemade stuffing and gravy, cranberry sauce and a medley of peas, carrots and corn. The meal comes complete with pumpkin pie, coffee and soft drinks. A specialty dessert can be added for $5. The cost is $43.95 for adults and $22.95 for children 12 and under.

There are other options at various prices with sides and vegetables such as honey glazed spiral ham, chicken or veal parmigiana, rack of lamb roasted with Dijon mustard crust, encrusted salmon, filet Sinatra with jumbo shrimp, lump crabmeat, prime rib beef, traditional roasted turkey platter and more.

Carrot cake, apple cobbler, tiramisu and cheesecake are among the dessert options for $9 or $10.
