13 area volleyball teams heading to super regional

Oct. 15—The North Super Regional begins Wednesday in Huntsville with 13 teams trying to advance to the state tournament.

Play starts at 9 a.m. at the Von Braun Center. It is single elimination with teams needing to win two matches to qualify for state. If they qualify, teams return for the second day to play two matches to determine seeding at state.

Wednesday's schedule has Class 1A, 4A, 5A and 6A. Classes 2A, 3A and 7A start play Thursday.

Tickets are $10 per day and may be purchased at www.GoFan.co. No paper tickets will be sold.

Wednesday

Class 5A: Lawrence County vs. Springville, 9 a.m., Brewer vs. Leeds, 9 a.m.

Class 4A: West Morgan vs. Cherokee County, 10:15 a.m., Priceville vs. Ashville, 11:30 a.m.

Class 1A: Athens Bible vs. Brilliant, 12:45 p.m.

Class 6A: Hartselle vs. Minor, 2 p.m., Athens vs. Huffman, 2 p.m., Decatur vs. Homewood, 3:30 p.m.

Thursday

Class 3A: Danville vs. Clements, 9 a.m.

Class 2A: Lindsay Lane vs. TBD, 11:30 a.m., Hatton vs. Winston County, 11:30 a.m., Falkville vs. TBD, 12:45 p.m.
