As the Providence Friars men's basketball team heads into the Big East Tournament, for those not making the trip to New York City, one of the questions — besides what's been going wrong on the court — is where to watch the games.

If you prefer to watch the game with other fans, rather than watching at home, here's a round-up of 13 sports bars in Rhode Island that will be watching the game.

Blake’s Tavern

It’s the season to celebrate the Irish and to watch college basketball. Mix the two together at Blake’s Tavern where they screen all of the Providence College basketball games, and get a brick-oven pizza while you are at it.

Bradley’s Café

Another classic Irish bar, Bradley’s makes no secret of the fact they are fans of the Friars, and is a favorite spot with fans. There’s plenty of Friar’s memorabilia on the walls as people gather around the eight televisions to watch the game and cheer.

The Brass Monkey

Address: 800 Allens Ave., Providence

A neighborhood restaurant and bar, this establishment is a laid-back atmosphere to make friends and watch the game. There are televisions on just about every wall, including a 75-inch television in the Brass Room and two 60-inch televisions at the bar.

Gilligan’s Pub

A straightforward, classic Irish bar, Gilligan’s makes sure they are open for the Friar’s games, even if it means opening earlier than usual. Grab a beer and a wooden stool at the bar and get ready to cheer.

Ladder 133

Address: 133 Douglas Avenue, Providence

Often pulling a younger crowd, Ladder 133 Kitchen & Social is a full-service restaurant, sports bar, lounge and event space. There are 33 televisions set up around the restaurant to make sure every seat has a great view of the game.

Moonshine Alley

Billing themselves as “basketball headquarters” for the March Madness tournament, this Nashville-inspired restaurant takes game day seriously. They have two jumbo screens, 17 televisions and two bars.

Providence G Pub

Address: 61 Orange St., Providence

A place for sports fans in general, the Providence G Pub shows up big for the Friar’s games. This sports bar has 17-wide screen televisions to go with its full bar and game day menu. There’s also free valet parking.

To kick off March Madness, G Pub will be having a Miller Lite Bracket Party on Sunday, March 12 from 6 to 10 p.m.

Snookers

Address: 53 Ashburton St., Providence

There are a whopping 60 televisions in Snookers, with a sound system that this sports bar says will make you feel like you are in the stadium. In business since 1989, it’s one of the biggest sports bars in Rhode Island.

Union Station Brewery

Address: 36 Exchange Terrace, Providence

There’s no greater way a brewery can show their support for a team than by naming a beer after said team, which is exactly what Union Station did with their Friartown IPA. Come game day, the Friars are on the big screens and you know who everyone is rooting for.

With plenty of televisions, Midtown Oyster Bar is a popular spot to watch the Friar’s games, and often sets up a watch party. Don your Friar’s gear, get some oysters and enjoy the game.

Tavern 12

A neighborhood sports bar, Tavern 12 has 28 televisions with surround sound set up so everyone — particularly everyone at the bar — has a great view of the game.
