Get ready for Christmas festivities in Lebanon County: Complete guide to holiday events

The holidays are fast approaching, and a whole lot will be going on around Lebanon County between now and Christmas, including live performances, tree lightings, markets for those looking for presents a bit more hand made, and visits from Santa.

Here are the dates, times and locations of some of the things going on around Lebanon County this holiday season:

Food, vendors and Santa will all come together for Campbelltown Community Alliance's fifth annual tree lighting, held at the Campbelltown Community park.

Fort Indiantown Gap tree lighting

Dec. 6 at 5 p.m.

Intersection of Fisher and Clement avenues between the Boxcar and the Fort Indiantown Gap Community Club.

Myerstown Holiday Parade

Christmas at the Expo

The 9th Annual Christmas at the Expo will have hundred of vendors, live music all three days, as well as bring your own camera free photos with Santa Claus at the Lebanon Valley Expo Center.

Coleman Memorial Park Christkindl Market

Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

1400 W Maple St., Lebanon.

Coleman Memorial Park will be transformed into a holiday market for the 11th annual Christkindl market with local organizations, churches and residents selling German and holiday-inspired wares along with a variety of food.

Historic Schaefferstown Christkindlmarkt

Friday, Dec. 8, 4-8 p.m. and Saturday Dec. 9, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

1304 Heidelberg Ave., Schaefferstown

Over 20 local artisans will set up at St. Paul's U.C.C. Church selling handmade period gifts for this year's Christkindlemarkt.

Live performances

Lebanon Community Theatre Presents: 'Clue'

De. 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 10 and 17 at 2:30 p.m.

E. Maple St. & Theatre Drive, Lebanon.

The Lebanon Community Theatre will present a stage adaption of the 1985 film "Clue" during the month of December.

Tickets are $14-$18 and can be found through their website, lebanoncommunitytheatre.org.

'A Christmas Carol' at St. James Players

Dec. 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 10 and 17 at 2 p.m.

The St. James Players, a nonprofit theater company focused on the youth will present a stage adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic Christmas ghost story.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchases online at stjames.booktix.com.

St. James Players is located inside the Lebanon Valley Mall.

Carriage Rides in Lebanon City

For the first two Fridays of December 15-person carriage rides around Lebanon City will depart from the Beers + Hoffman offices on 8th Street next to the Lebanon Farmers Market.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 12. Children under 3 ride for free.

While tickets can be bought at the site, it's strongly recommended that they be booking in advance online at lebanoncla.com.

Christmas at Cornwall

Dec. 2, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

94 Rexmont Road, Cornwall

Friends of Cornwall Iron Furnace will host a Christmas open house where visitors can take take guided tours of the inside of the furnace, look at holiday decorations, and shop for gifts.

Santa will also be at this event for pictures.

Regular admission fees, $8 for adults, $4 for kids ages 3-11 and $7 for seniors, will be charged for the event, with proceeds helping to support the Friends of Cornwall Iron Furnace.

Community Christmas Meal

Dec. 25, 12-1:30 p.m.

250 South 7th St., Lebanon.

Making a Difference of Lebanon, PA will be hosting a free community Christmas meal on Christmas Day at Lebanon County Christian Ministries.

All are welcome to join.

Hershey Gardens Christmas Tree Showcase

Hershey Gardens' Christmas Tree Showcase will open on Friday, Nov. 24 and last until Monday, Jan. 1. Santa will visit on Dec. 10 and storytime with Mrs. Claus will be on Dec. 16

11 Decorated trees will be on display indoors at Hershey Gardens this year planted in snow-covered islands. Each tree will be decorated by local artists. A 14-foot white poinsettia tree will also be on display.
