13-year-old boy dies in ATV crash in Wayne County

A 13-year-old boy died Wednesday afternoon following an all-terrain vehicle crash in Huron, Wayne County.

New York State Police said that shortly after 12:30 p.m., emergency responders were called to a residence on Brick Schoolhouse Road to investigate the crash. Troopers arrived to find the 911 caller giving CPR to a 13-year-old boy. Emergency responders took over lifesaving measures at the scene.

The teen was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries a short time later, troopers said. The teen's name was not released.

State Police continue to investigate the fatal crash. Further details were not released.
