13 pets you can adopt this weekend at the Potter League as they try to Clear the Shelter

Potter League for Animals announced its participation in the highly anticipated Clear the Shelters national pet adoption event, in partnership with Hill’s Pet NutritionGreater Good Charities, and The Dodo taking place on Saturday, Aug. 26. This special occasion marks a significant step towards providing loving homes for countless animals, as the Potter League dedicates itself to reducing adoption fees by half for dogs, cats, and small mammals, thereby enabling local families to warmly welcome a new furry member into their lives.Since its inception in 2015, the resounding success of NBCUniversal’s Clear The Shelters campaign has been instrumental in facilitating the transition of over 860,000 pets from shelters to loving homes across the nation. The Potter League for Animals is privileged to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with this initiative, reaffirming its commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of both animals and families.

"Our aim is that when Sunday morning arrives, every single animal within the shelter will have found a place to call home. Brad Shear, Potter League for Animals CEO, said in a statement.

The event takes place from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Potter League Animal Care & Adoption Center, 87 Oliphant Lane, Middletown.
