“13 Reasons Why” Star Anne Winters Said That Even She Was Shocked By Who Killed Bryce Walker
The premiere of the new season of 13 Reasons Why is just a day away, but people have been trying to solve season 3's big mystery all month long. Fans didn't have to wait until season 3's premiere to find out the show killed off a major character: Bryce Walker. The only thing the trailer didn't reveal was who murdered him, so fans have been coming up with their own theories. Some have pointed the finger at Tony, others at Clay and some fans even think it was likely more than one character. The show will likely reveal the killer in season 3, unless they stretch it to season 4, its last season. But Anne Winters, the actress that plays Bryce's girlfriend, Chloe, is spilling some details on what's to come.
Anne told Hollywood Life that she was actually surprised when she found out who killed Bryce. "Yeah, I was shocked. I mean, the thing is that everyone really hated him, so it could have been anybody,” she said, revealing that season 3, will consist of a lot of flashbacks.
When fans found out Bryce, the show's bully, was murdered, many were quick to chime in with their thoughts, commenting that he actually deserved it, but Anne thinks season 3 will have fans singing a different tune.
"This season is completely different because you see the guy that you’ve hated for two seasons have this terrible thing happen,” she toldHollywood Life. "People even on the internet are like, ‘Oh, he deserved it.’ I think that this season will really change that view because no one deserves that and I feel like you end up seeing more redeeming qualities than maybe in the first two seasons, and I see different sides. You see more relationships that he had. We really get to see more Bryce and we really get to see how everyone goes through this traumatic experience of his death. I think that it really takes everyone through a whirlwind.”
Anne will probably be involved in a major plotline, herself, this season. At the end of season 2, we found out that Chloe was pregnant with Bryce's child, so with Bryce gone, it'll be interesting to see how she deals and managers.
13 Reasons Why season 3 is set to premiere on Netflix on August 23.
