13 Upstate high school football players selected for Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas roster

The 2022 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas – an annual football game played between the top seniors from North Carolina and South Carolina – rosters were announced Sunday.

This year the game will be played on Dec. 17 at Spartanburg High School. It hasn't been played the previous two years after being played for decades, most recently at Wofford College.

Thirteen players from teams in the Upstate of South Carolina were selected to this year's roster, headlined by Dorman four-star offensive lineman Markee Anderson, a South Carolina commitment. Also selected are Powdersville running back Thomas Williams, Spartanburg quarterback Raheim Jeter, Spartanburg wide receiver Andrew Dantin, Dorman offensive lineman D.J. Geth and Daniel defensive back Misun Kelly. Also among the selections was Greenville High School three-star and Minnesota commit Tyler Brown.
