130 artists to participate in Art in the Park in Manchester

Art in the Park, the 47th annual arts extravaganza in Center Memorial Park in Manchester, is back after a two-year pandemic hiatus, with more than 130 artists participating.

It will take place Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free.

Artists will show and sell their original paintings, sculptures, photographs, jewelry, digital artworks, pottery, metalworks, fiber artworks and other pieces.

Musical acts will perform from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the park’s stage, including Manchester Town Troubadour Bill Ludwig, Bonnie Jacobson & Joe Gilbert Acoustic Duo, The Donaldson Drew Duo, Heather McLarney, NINE NORTH, The Guinea Pigs, The WHISH Band and Tenaya Taylor.

The Manchester Lions Club will sponsor a rubber duck race to benefit local charities. People can sponsor a duck to win a prize.

There will be arts and crafts for kids as well as a caricature artist, a henna tattooist and three vendors offering face painting.

COVID-19 vaccinations — first and second doses and boosters — will be offered by the state Department of Public Health.
