14 area high schools participated in this year’s 10th Congressional District Art Competition Sunday at the Dayton Art Institute.

There were over 175 entries this year in an event sponsored by Dayton-area Congressman Mike Turner.
The high schools participating were Beavercreek, Belmont, Brookville, Dayton Christian, Legacy Christian Academy, Miamisburg, Miami Valley Career Technology Center, Miami Valley School, Northmont, Oakwood, Stivers School for the Arts, Trotwood-Madison, Valley View and Wayne.
This year’s winners were:
1st Place: Sasha Guseva (11th Grade), Oakwood High School, “Coexistance”
2nd Place: Emma Martin (12th Grade), Stivers School for the Arts, “The Tragedy of Infidelity”
3rd Place: Audrey Riesbeck (12th Grade), Dayton Christian High School, “Reflecting on the Greatest Generation”
Riesbeck also won the People’s Choice award.
