Next week's Coronation Street will see Stephen's drug plot backfire, while Amy and Aaron's big new story begins.

Meanwhile, Paul considers taking legal action against Carla.

Here's a look at 14 big moments coming up.

1. Stephen plots against Carla

Having been secretly spiking Carla with LSD, Stephen steps up his plan to oust her from the business when he suggests to the shareholders that they hold a vote of no confidence.

Shocked by Stephen's suggestion, Faye gives Carla a tip off about Stephen's plot.

Dick Haversham arrives and criticises Stephen for his incompetence. Things worsen for Stephen when Carla pulls him aside and blasts him for trying to cut her out of her own business.

2. Stephen accidentally drugs himself

Ahead of their work presentation, Stephen spikes Carla's tea with LSD.

When Carla immediately spits it out and complains that he has used full fat milk, Stephen realises he has given Carla the wrong cup – meaning that Sarah or Stephen himself have drunk the spiked tea.

During the presentation, Stephen's vision becomes blurred, and he begins to sweat. It becomes evident to Stephen that he has drugged himself and struggles to hide the effects.

3. Carla puts Stephen in his place

After the presentation, Carla gives Stephen a dressing down and berates him for leaving Sarah to carry the presentation alone. She makes it clear to Stephen that he's going to have nothing to do with the American deal moving forward.

Furious, Stephen heads to the precinct to buy more drugs but ends up the victim of two lads who take his money and laugh in his face.

4. Stephen swears Elaine to secrecy

Elaine reveals to Stephen that the Redbank apartment is too expensive for her to afford but is excited when Stephen suggests they buy it together – as flatmates.

Elaine accepts the offer but tries to mask her desire that they were moving in as a couple.

Later in the week, after a sudden change in their relationship, Stephen is quick to suggest to Elaine that they keep their engagement a secret for now.

5. Amy and Aaron kiss

Summer is shocked to discover that Aaron has been having conversations with his ex, Mia, and isn't impressed. She admits to Amy that she's struggling to trust Aaron but is annoyed when Amy labels her needy and insecure.

Aaron returns to find Amy upset after the argument between her and Summer. He tries to smooth things over by revealing he has been promoted to mechanic after his probation and suggests they all head to the Bistro to celebrate.

As they prepare to head out, the chemistry between Amy and Aaron builds and the pair share a kiss.

6. Aaron crosses the line with Amy

Wracked with guilt, Amy struggles to see Summer and Aaron together and makes a quick exit from the Bistro.

Meanwhile, Summer and Aaron continue to bicker, and it isn't long before Aaron decides to call it a night too. He heads home and plays drinking games with Amy at the flat.

Later, a drunken Amy begins to feel sick, and falls into bed. Aaron climbs in beside her and tries to kiss her, while Amy remains oblivious to what he does next.

7. Paul almost injures himself at work

Having recently hidden his worrying symptoms from friends and family, Paul returns to work for the first time since his accident.

Paul grows concerned when he struggles to tie his laces, but things later worsen when he attempts to cut panels and narrowly avoids the saw's spinning blade. Ed witnesses the event and orders Paul to go home.

8. Paul considers legal action

Paul reveals to Billy that he has been sent home and confides that he hasn't felt 100% since the accident.

Having promised to help Gemma pay her gas bill, Paul is forced to let her down.

Meanwhile, Ed tells Paul that it isn't safe for him to return to work until he's had the all-clear. With Paul unable to work, Billy and Dee-Dee suggest he sue Carla for negligence.

When Dr Gaddas confirms that it could take up to 12 weeks for his hand to heal, Paul sees no other option than taking legal action.

9. Peter makes Paul an offer

Peter learns that Carla wasn't insured to drive the van and could face serious legal trouble. He approaches Paul and offers him £15,000 compensation – if Paul drops the case against Carla.

Paul initially accepts the offer, but changes his mind when Dee-Dee advises that he receive a full medical diagnosis first.

Later, Paul gives Chesney cash to help pay their bills and explains that he has taken a short-term loan and intends to pay it off when he receives his compensation.

10. Daisy has another encounter with Justin

With plans under way for the wedding, Daisy, Daniel, Ken, Jenny and Gemma prepare to taste test some wedding cake samples.

However, Daisy is horrified when the samples are delivered by her stalker, Justin. Daniel contacts the delivery firm to make them aware of Justin's behaviour, but they refuse to act against him without solid proof.

Later, Daniel admits to Ken that he's concerned that Justin could put Bertie in danger.

11. Daisy finds an ally in Maria

Daisy faces another setback when her hair stylist cancels the wedding booking. Jenny suggests that Daisy ask Maria but Daisy mocks Maria's style as out of touch.

Having offended Maria, Daisy apologises, but when she starts receiving alerts on her phone, she grows upset. Maria comforts Daisy and reveals her own history with a stalker.

Taking Maria's advice on board, Daisy goes back to the police and is granted a hearing for a Stalking Protection Order.

12. Faye receives an offer from her ex

Sally is surprised to learn that Jackson – father of Faye's daughter, Miley – has been in touch and asked if Faye wants to see them. Faye reveals that she has turned the offer down.

Faye explains that she has come to terms with never having children due to the menopause and worries that seeing Miley could stir up feelings.

Sally tries to make Faye see sense by organising to look after Glory. Sally then makes out that she has to run a quick errand and leaves Faye to keep an eye on her, hoping it will awaken Faye's maternal feelings.

13. Daryan leaves to find his brother

Having discovered last week that his brother made it to the UK after all, Daryan learns that he arrived in Nottingham but has no contact details.

Keen to help, Gary and Maria offer Daryan money for a trip to Nottingham. Accompanied by his social worker, Daryan waves goodbye to Gary, Maria, Nina and Evelyn as he heads to Nottingham in search of his brother.

14. Hope confides in Sam

Hope was upset in recent weeks when Tyrone and Fiz appeared to doubt her accusation that Beth slapped her in the aftermath of Hope's plot against Peanut the dog.

Hope tells Sam that not only did Beth slap her but warned her to stay quiet as no-one would believe her anyway. Shocked, Sam informs Tyrone that Hope is telling the truth.
