14-year-old facing involuntary manslaughter charge following deadly shooting in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A 14-year-old juvenile is facing charges relating to a deadly shooting, according to the Columbus Police Department.

At 6:14 p.m. on Wednesday, officers were dispatched to Piedmont Columbus Regional regarding a shooting victim.

Timothy Holloway, Jr., 16, was pronounced dead by an emergency room doctor at 6:48 p.m.

A 14-year-old juvenile is now being charged with involuntary manslaughter, reckless conduct and possession of a firearm under 18.

The juvenile’s court hearing is scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m.
