Here are 15 Easter egg hunts and family-friendly activities in the Milwaukee suburbs this spring
Easter comes late this year, on April 17. But that leaves plenty of time for area Easter egg hunts and other activities, including photos or breakfast with the Easter Bunny.
Here are 15 family-friendly Easter activities going on in the Milwaukee-area suburbs this year — including one geared toward your dog.
Easter egg hunt in Okauchee
What: The Okauchee Lions Easter egg hunt is open to kids in pre-K to eighth grades. The kids are divided by grade levels for the egg hunting, and there will be an opportunity to take a photo with the Easter Bunny.
When: 11 a.m. April 16

Easter egg hunt in Brookfield
What: All children 8 years old and younger are invited to participate in the Easter egg hunt. Children will be grouped by age. Also planned is an Easter egg "crawl" for the toddlers and the tiny egg hunters.
When: 10 am. April 16

Pancake breakfast with the Bunny in Whitefish Bay
What: Participants can take photos with the Bunny, there will be raffles and a breakfast featuring pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee. Tickets are available at the door or at Winkie’s Toys and Variety in Whitefish Bay.
When: 8 to 11 a.m. April 2
Where: Dominican High School, 120 E. Silver Spring Drive, Whitefish Bay
Cost: $8 for ages 10 and older, $5 per child younger than 10

Easter egg hunt in Oak Creek
What: There will be an Easter egg hunt for children younger than 12. Updates on the event will be posted on Facebook throughout March.
When: 10 a.m. to noon April 9
Where: Abendschein Park, 1311 E. Drexel Ave., Oak Creek

Community egg hunt and pancake breakfast with the Bunny in New Berlin
What: The community egg hunt is for children in third grade and younger. Participants should bring a basket to gather the eggs.
For the pancake breakfast with the Bunny, people should bring their own cameras.
The event will also include live baby animals, a bake sale, face painting and community room activities.
When: The egg hunt is at 9:30 a.m. April 9. There are two seatings for the pancake breakfast with the Bunny, one at 8:30 am. (doors open at 8:15) and the second at 10 a.m. (doors open at 9:45)
Where: New Berlin Community Center Grounds, 14750 W. Cleveland Ave., New Berlin (for both events)
Cost: One nonperishable food donation per child for the egg hunt. For the pancake breakfast with the bunny, the cost is $9 for adults, $7 for children younger than 12 and free for children younger than 2.

What: There will be an Easter egg hunt; participants can meet the Easter Bunny.

Easter egg hunt and activities in Hales Corners
What: This event is open to Hales Corners families and the surrounding community. There will be comfort dogs, a petting zoo, bounce houses, games, face painting, the Easter Bunny, an Easter story walk and the Easter egg hunt.
When: 10 to 11:30 a.m. April 9

Hales Corners Lions Club Easter egg hunt and pancake breakfast
What: The egg hunt starts in the woods behind the Whitnall Middle School followed by a pancake breakfast for purchase in the cafeteria. There will be raffles for prizes at the breakfast. Participants should bring their own bags or baskets, and waterproof footwear is strongly recommended.
When: 9 to 11 a.m. April 16. The Easter egg hunt begins at 9 a.m. sharp
Where: Whitnall Middle School, 5025 S. 116th St., Greenfield. The pancake breakfast is in the cafeteria, and the Easter egg hunt is in the woods behind the school
Cost: The Easter egg hunt is free; the breakfast requires a fee.

Community egg hunt event in Delafield
What: There will be more than 3,000 eggs to hunt for, some with grand prizes to be picked up at local chamber businesses. Attendees can get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny, and there will be face painting and inflatable activities and games for all ages.
When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 9. The community egg hunt begins at 11 a.m.

Easter walk fundraiser in Waukesha
What: This event is a fundraiser for the Waukesha Parks, Recreation & Forestry Financial Assistance Fund. Participants are slated to walk a 1.7 miles with Easter activities. Stations include designing bunny ears, a fishing game, visiting a bunny at the petting station, rock climbing, flower planting and flowerpot creation to take home, leaf activities and sailboat races (to take home a toy boat). Each participant will get a copy of the book "Runaway Bunny." Registration is required.
When: 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. April 9
