Eldorado – Alles, was die Nazis hassen | Offizieller Trailer | Netflix

Berlin's Eldorado nightclub in the late 1920s was iconic. It was a significant part of Berlin's queer scene and was an establishment that built Berlin's diverse nightlife. Gays, lesbians, and trans folks danced with the likes of Marlene Dietrich and Charles Chaplin. The club even saw Nazi officials attend and hang with the guests. However, the club became a target of Nazi oppression and it was forced to close in 1932.

"The world’s first visibly queer community was destroyed by the Nazis in just a few years. Many who had just learned about a new freedom were suddenly persecuted and murdered," a Netflix description reads.

The documentary, which premieres (in English) on June 28, delves into the club's history and the fate of LGBTQ+ people between the world wars. Historical recreations, interviews, and archival footage are used to bring viewers closer to the experience that was Eldorado.
