15-year-old injured in Chesapeake shooting, police say

A 15-year-old boy is injured after a shooting in Chesapeake Saturday afternoon.

Chesapeake police responded to a report of gunshots fired at approximately 1:23 p.m., according to a release.

When they arrived at the 2000 block of Linster Street, near the Hunters Point Apartments, officers found a 15-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The incident is still under investigation, and Chesapeake police said there is currently no suspect description available for release.
