Also this week, three Louisville-area restaurants made Yelp's Top 100 Restaurants list! So tell that to anyone who says Louisville isn't a foodie city.

15 places to get soup around Louisville — Brasserie Provence serves a popular, classic French onion soup, topped with fresh gruyere and mozzarella cheese. Check's Cafe has been serving its famous chili since 1944, and there's nothing like a steaming bowl of pho from Pho Ba Luu. Here are 15 places to try.

50 gallons of soup a day — Unlike restaurants that serve a couple of soups, Soupy's specializes in soup and has served more than 2 million cups of soup since it opened in 1995. The place is still open and still serves 50-plus gallons of soup a day each winter.

Downtown Thai food — The food truck All Thai'd Up is opening a shop in downtown Louisville AND the food truck is sticking around. Owner Kathy Aphaivongs said she can't wait to expand her menu to include even more authentic Thai dishes she grew up eating in Bangkok, Thailand.
