The Salvation Army Angel Tree in the Birchwood Mall has 150 children still in need of gifts for Christmas.

Toys for children of all ages up to 12-years-old are needed. People interested in participating can go to the Birchwood Mall, located at 4350 24th Ave., in Fort Gratiot, and take a single or multiple names from the tree. After shopping, people can bring their gifts to the Salvation Army, located at 2000 Court St. in Port Huron.

"Distribution Day is next Thursday, December 22 and we need to complete the filling of the gift bags by Wednesday afternoon. Help us if you possibly can,” Major Wesley Dalberg, the local corps officer for St. Clair County, said in a press release last week.

The gifts must be unwrapped when dropped off. Additionally, people don’t have to grab a name from the tree. If they want to, people can just shop for a child and drop the gift off at the Salvation Army.
