Two weeks after 11-year-old Xavior Harrelson vanished from his small Iowa town, police are hoping a five-figure reward will encourage people to come through.

Xavior was last seen around 11 a.m. on May 27, three days before his birthday, in Montezuma, about 60 miles east of Des Moines. A family friend reported him missing later that day.

More than 500 volunteers and police officers have been searching the rural area with no luck so far.

The Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that local businesses and private citizens have donated more than $15,000 as a fund to help garner information on his disappearance that “leads to the resolution of this case.”

Xavior is listed at 4′9″ and 100 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, blue pajama pants and black high-top shoes.

Anyone with any information related to Xavior’s disappearance is asked to call the Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office at 641-623-2107.
