Find out which 16 taquerias will be competing at the 2023 Taco Wars in Shreveport

Taco Wars is taking things up a notch with even more taquerias competing for the Golden Taco on Saturday, April 29 at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium.

This year's festival promises to be even more exciting with more of everything. More tacos, more salsa and more fun for the whole family. There will be 16 local taquerias battling it out for the best taco and the best salsa awards.

In addition, there will be two Maestro Dobel Casa de Tequila tents where attendees can indulge in the finest tequila and delicious margaritas. There will also be vendors selling sweet treats like popsicles, churros and ice cream.

Patrons will be able to purchase tacos from each competitor while sampling their chips and salsa for free. All attendees will receive voting tokens and will vote to crown the Golden Molcajete (Best Salsa) while a panel of celebrity taco aficionados will determine the best taco.

  • La Potranca

  • Mi Mercadito

  • Mi Meza Latin Cuisine

  • Nicky's Mexican Restaurant

  • Ramirez Mexican Restaurant

  • Tacos El Culebrito

  • Taco Joe's Authentic Wet Tacos

  • Tamalocos

  • Taqueria Bazzar Mexicano

  • Taqueria El Eden

  • Taqueria Flores

  • Taqueria La Reyna Del Sur

  • Taqueria Mi Palmar

  • Taqueria San Miguel

"Taco Wars celebrates Latino culture, and it features one of the most amazing foods on the planet," said Prize Foundation Founder Gregory Kallenberg. "That said, my hope is that everyone comes down to this unique festival to connect and eat together as one community united under our common love for the mighty taco."
