16 years after diagnosis Vitalant worker shares the importance of blood donations

KCRA 3 is teaming up with Vitalant for the annual Blood Drive for Life, which this year is taking place on Jan. 5-8 across two locations in Rocklin and Sacramento. One of Vitalant's own workers knows from personal experience how important blood donations are. Kaitlyn Musolf was 16 years old when she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome. It's a rare autoimmune disorder that damages the nerves.
