17-year-old dead, 14-year-old injured after car crash in Senatobia, MS

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WREG) — A 17-year-old is dead and a 14-year-old is injured following a car crash Friday in Senatobia, Mississippi.

The 17-year-old has been identified as Hannah Muniz.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says they responded to a two-vehicle car crash on Highway 4 a little after 6 p.m. in Tate County.

According to reports, a 34-year-old man was driving a Ford F-350 west on Highway 4 and Muniz was driving a Toyota Corolla south on Highway 305.

The Ford F-350 collided with the Toyota Corolla, attempting to make a left turn onto Highway 4, MHP says.

Muniz was pronounced dead on the scene due to her injuries. The 14-year-old was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries from the crash.

This is still an ongoing investigation.
