17-year-old Hartford girl shot in the foot, police say
A 17-year-old Hartford girl was shot in the foot Tuesday evening, prompting an investigation near at a Clay Arsenal apartment building, police said.
The girl drove herself to Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center shortly before 6 p.m., Lt. Paul Cicero said.
Major Crimes Division detectives investigated the area around 116 Bedford St., just across the playground from the Wilson-Gray YMCA, Cicero said. No further information about the shooting was immediately available Tuesday evening.
Last week, a 17-year-old Hartford boy was grazed by a bullet near near an apartment on the other side of that same playground on Brook Street.
