The 18 most Instagrammable hikes in the UK
South Wales' highest peak is the most Instagrammable spot for a hike in the UK, according to a new study.
Pen Y Fan sits 886 metres above sea level, offering up incredible views of the Brecon Beacons especially at sunset and sunrise. No wonder it's the most mentioned UK hike on Instagram.
The peak offers four walking routes for all abilities, ranging from a gentle amble along carved out paths to a tough trek over the nine mile circuit of the Horseshoe Ridge walk.
Sportsshoes.com analysed over 677,000 hiking-related posts published on Instagram over the last three years in order to find which hiking spots are shared the most.
And while Pen Y Fan took the top spot, nearly half of the hikes are located in Scotland. The Jurassic Coast, a 95-mile stretch in Dorset, came fifth as England's most Instagrammable spot.
