18-year-old woman charged with 16-year-old’s murder in Chester: Sheriff
CHESTER, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — An 18-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of a 16-year-old in Chester, the Chester County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.
Deputies responded to calls regarding the deadly incident around 11:58 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, near Spring Street and Gadsden Street.
A 16-year-old was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released.
An initial investigation identified Connie Di’Rose Miller, 18, as the suspect. She was arrested within less than 24 hours after several search warrants were issued, the sheriff’s office said.

Just a few months ago, the implementation of Shot Spotter and the Flock Camera systems within our city and county has proven invaluable to law enforcement. These systems have significantly enhanced our response times and provided crucial identification of vehicles and suspect information involved in criminal activities,” Chief William Petty said.
Evidence was recovered from the executed search warrants as were drugs and cash, deputies said. Miller has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
She is being held at the Chester County Detention Center.
