18-year-old killed in FM 51 accident, four injured

Oct. 18—PARKER COUNTY — An 18-year-old Weatherford woman was killed and four others injured in a multi-vehicle collision outside of Weatherford early Sunday morning.

Texas Department of Public's Safety crash reported noted the three-vehicle incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. on Farm-to-Market Road 51 and North Bend Road, less than a mile north of Weatherford.

According to the preliminary investigation, a Mini Cooper, driven by Naomi Nash, 18, of Weatherford, was turning south onto FM 51 from North Bend. Her vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic, and was struck by two vehicles at the intersection. Nash was pronounced deceased on scene.

Three occupants were injured, including an 18-year-old out of San Angelo; an 18-year-old from Ponder and an 18-year-old out of Graford.

A second driver, a 26-year-old Springtown man, was also injured. All four were transported to a Fort Worth Hospital, while a fourth occupant, a 19-year-old Weatherford man, was not injured. DPS reported the driver of the third vehicle was also uninjured.
