Enhanced and ready for a new home, this 300-mile restomod is an exercise in tasteful modification

Restomod cars are a great way for their creators to take an existing classic and really build something unique. While the world is filling up with restored examples of various models, these automotive artworks certainly stand out amongst their surviving siblings. Case and point, this 1957 Cadillac Eldorado SeVille restomod currently listed by Streetside Classics.

Finished in Bright Ruby Red and detailed with polished chrome work elevates this iconic design to new levels. Its creators were careful not to detract away from the timeless styling of the Eldorado, and have instead exaggerated its highly fashionable character. Sitting lower to the ground, large BOSS alloy wheels now fill its arches giving the model real concept car presence.

Open this Cadillac’s doors to reveal a tan buckskin leather interior that also features exotic ostrich inserts. While the cabin retains a classic feel, it does feature plenty of modern-day touches to keep its occupants happy. Bluetooth, GPS navigation, and a reversing camera brings today’s convenience to this classic machine. Touches such as the chrome steering wheel, Lokar shifter, and custom Dakota Digital gauges are the icing on the cake.

This Cadillac hosts further delights under the hood in the form of a 5.3-liter LS Vortec V8. The engine is supported by a hi-flow air cleaner and a large aluminum radiator for optimum performance and reliability. A modern 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission takes care of swapping cogs, making it a great cruiser. The advert states that the whole package sounds spectacular through its straight pipe dual exhausts.

Other modifications including Fatman front suspension, ladder bar rear, rack & pinion power steering, and adjustable coilover suspension means that this car handles with gusto through the bends. Large disc brakes also allow its newfound performance to be kept under control.

This bespoke car has covered less than 300 miles since it was completed, meaning that this restomod is brand-new. The current asking price for the 1957 Cadillac Eldorado SeVille is $102,995.
