Many people absolutely love the classic Dodge Dart, but the factory cars by today’s performance standards aren’t nearly as hot as they were back in the day. However, the look of the old muscle car is nothing like what we have in this century. This 1968 Dodge Dart LO23 tribute car gives you those classic looks with modern performance good enough for a 9-second quarter mile, making it red hot.

The first question that’s likely on your mind is what engine this Dart is running. It’s an all-aluminum 650ci Corben Street Legend V8 with Wiseco 10.75:1 pistons, Indy roller rockers, HR-1 roller cam, and OEM Holley crossram carbs. That combination produces a monstrous 788-horsepower and 800 lb.-ft. of torque. Helping put that explosive power to the road is a rebuilt 18-spline A-833 Hemi four-speed manual transmission.

With that kind of performance, you’d expect something super flashy. Those in the know will notice the big Mickey Thompson tires and tall air intake in the hood, but the dark green metallic paint doesn’t exactly scream for attention. The black steel wheels definitely help this car fly a little under the radar. What chrome trim there is looks to be in fantastic condition, and those six hood pins should be a signal to other enthusiasts there’s something serious going on.

As for the interior, it’s not super upgraded but it’s definitely clean. There are Simpson harnesses and a roll bar, signaling this car is intended for track use. The dash, gauges, carpet, door panels, and seat upholstery all show no signs of damage.
