Two people were arrested on Friday in connection to a late December drive-by shooting that killed a woman in Tucson, police said.

The victim was identified by police as 21-year-old Jada Thompson.

On Dec. 24 right after 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call near North Swan Road and East Speedway Boulevard. According to Tucson Police Department, Thompson arrived at Tucson Medical Center with life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. She was transported to Banner University Medical Center due to the severity of her injuries, where she died the next day, police said.

Detectives learned Thompson was driving northbound on Swan Road when a "traffic incident" occurred with another vehicle, one of whose occupants shot her and fled, police said.

Authorities said they found the two suspects identified as Cameron Patrick Griffith, 25, and Jamie Moniq Moore, 20, and conducted a search warrant on their vehicle on Friday.

Both Griffith and Moore were interviewed by police, and each were charged with first degree murder and aggravated assault.

They were booked into Pima County Jail on a $1 million bond each.
