2 arrested in Gun Barrel City following drug bust

GUN BARREL CITY, Texas (KETK) – The Henderson County Sheriff’s announced the arrests of two people following a drug bust in Gun Barrel City.

The HCSO said on Monday they conducted a search warrant at 112 Sherwood Shore Drive in Gun Barrel City. Officials said that while conducting the search they located suspected methamphetamines and “commonly used” drug paraphernalia.

Two people identified as Mark Newman, 56 of Tool, and Nina May, 40 of Gun Barrel City, were reportedly arrested on the scene and transported to the Henderson County Jail.

Newman was charged with possession of a controlled substance and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.

May was charged with possession of a controlled substance and a probation violation from Ellis County.
