2 arrested in July 26 shots-fired incident in Cambridge Estates

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Miguel Tyler arrived in Lafayette from Chicago on July 25. On July 26, police suspect he was involved in a shots-fired incident in the 3800 block of Harrow Court in Cambridge Estates Apartments, according to police.

An argument erupted outside of a residence, leading to the shots being fired about 11:50 p.m. July 26, police said. Bullets hit nearby buildings and some cars, police said.

About 11 hours after the shots-fire incident, police found Tyler, 24, inside a Chauncey Village Apartment in the 1700 block of Chauncey Court North, where they arrested him on suspicion of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, police said. He also is wanted on a warrant out of Springfield, Illinois, according to police.

He remained incarcerated Tuesday morning at the Tippecanoe County Jail.

On Sunday, officers arrested Roseann Redmond, 39, of the 1700 block of Wabash Avenue in Lafayette, on Sunday. Police said Redmond played a role in the shots-fired incident.

Police jailed her on suspicion of false informing. She has since been released from the jail, according to online jail records.
