2 baby owls rescued at Florida Country Club

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Two baby Eastern screech owls were rescued in Florida after they were abandoned when they fell from a tree.

The pair, found by the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, were located at Creekside at Bonita Bay Club in Naples.

The baby owls were given pain medicine and were cleared for renesting, but the owl parents did not show up during the renesting attempt.

The owls were brought to the Von Arx Wildlife Hospital, where they will be cared for until they are old enough to be released, the Conservancy said.
