2 Bayshore men identified as motorcycle riders killed in five-vehicle crash in Marlboro

MARLBORO−Authorities have identified the two motorcycle riders who were killed in a five-vehicle crash on Route 18 Monday night.

Ka'shon Cross, 18, of Hazlet, and Gregory K. Tutt Jr., 22, of Keansburg died at the scene of the crash in the northbound lanes of the highway near Route 520, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.

No details about how the crash happened have been released.

Police arriving at the scene found a 2019 Hyundai Tucson, an SUV, a 2017 Subaru Impreza and a 2008 Mercedes-Benz 550, both sedans, and the two sport motorcycles - a 2005 Suzuki GSX and a 2001 Yamaha YZF, Santiago said.

The driver and the passenger of the Tucson were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.

A balloon release for Tutt is planned for 7:30 p.m. today on Baywalk West in Keansburg, according to a Facebook post from Tutt's sister.

A memorial service for Cross will take place from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals at 233 Carr Ave. in Keansburg. A burial will follow at Bayview Cemetery in Leonardo, according to his obituary.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call Detective Nicolas Logothetis of the prosecutor's office at 800-533-7443 or Marlboro Township Police Officer Aaron Murdock at 732-536-0100.
