2 California correctional workers arrested for sex crimes against children, officials say
Two correctional employees have been arrested on charges that include sex crimes against children, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday. The officers worked at different prisons. It’s unclear if the two arrests were connected. Matthew James Leavens, 36, was an officer working at California State Prison, Sacramento. Leavens was arrested Monday and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail, CDCR said.
